Inspirado no desejo de testemunhar a viol\u00eancia contra as mulheres, o projecto fotogr\u00e1fico \u201cMulheres que Inspiram\u201d d\u00e1 voz a mulheres de todo o mundo. Algumas est\u00e3o em fuga de zonas de conflito, outras s\u00e3o activistas contra a ordem social estabelecida, algumas n\u00e3o tiveram outra op\u00e7\u00e3o do que continuar em frente e h\u00e1 ainda aquelas que tomaram a decis\u00e3o de agir.<\/p>\n

\u201cMulheres que Inspiram\u201d significa ouvir o inaud\u00edvel: a viol\u00eancia emocional, f\u00edsica e institucional perpetrada contra milh\u00f5es de mulheres. Ao mesmo tempo, \u00e9 um apelo dos movimentos que est\u00e3o a conduzir a mudan\u00e7a. Demonstra ainda o compromisso de mulheres comuns de todo o mundo que lutam para que os seus direitos fundamentais sejam respeitados.<\/p>\n

Este conjunto de fotografias e de testemunhos evidencia actos de resist\u00eancia, ac\u00e7\u00f5es vis\u00edveis e silenciosas que, de forma incans\u00e1vel, prosseguem o mesmo objectivo: sensibilizar, provocar a mudan\u00e7a na vida das mulheres e restabelecer os direitos fundamentais que t\u00eam sido desrespeitados.<\/p>\n

Todos os 60 retratos e testemunhos, realizados e recolhidos em 2018 e 2019, v\u00e3o fazer parte de um exposi\u00e7\u00e3o que pretende imergir o p\u00fablico nas vidas destas mulheres, atrav\u00e9s das suas hist\u00f3rias, combinando a fotografia e as contribui\u00e7\u00f5es escritas e orais. O projecto vai poder ser visto em Fran\u00e7a no Outono de 2019, antes de uma digress\u00e3o mundial em 2020.<\/p>\n

Unsung Heroes \u2013 giving women a voice<\/p>

Their names are Rajwa, Sofia, Th\u00e9r\u00e8se, Bettina and Nuruj. Ordinary heroes. Ordinary heroes encountered by M\u00e9decins du Monde \u2013 Doctors of the World and portrait artist Denis Rouvre.<\/p>

Inspired by a desire to bear witness to the violence against women, the Unsung Heroes<\/em>photography project gives a voice to women from all over the world. Some are fleeing conflict zones, others are campaigning against the established social order, some had no choice but to carry on, others have made the decision to take action.<\/p>

Unsung Heroes<\/em>means hearing the inaudible: the emotional, physical and institutional violence perpetrated against millions of women. At the same time it is a call from the movements which are driving change. It demonstrates the commitment of ordinary women from all over the world who are fighting for women\u2019s fundamental rights to be respected.<\/p>

This collection of photographs and testimonies shines a light on acts of resistance, actions both visible and silent, tirelessly pursuing the same goal: to raise awareness, turn the tide in women\u2019s life and re-establish fundamental rights that have been violated.<\/p>

All 60 portraits and testimonies were produced in 2018 and 2019 and will lead to an exhibition which will immerse the viewer in the lives of the women through their stories, combining photos with written and oral contributions. The project will be on show in France in autumn 2019 before being taken on a world tour in 2020.<\/p>
